What can you do on your campus?
(From the Human Rights Campaign)
.

The easiest means to establishing a Safe Zone Program is to seek assistance from those individuals who are most likely already trained to cope with issues concerning diversity issues (i.e. all human conditions).  On a university campus, a Safe Zone Program might include administrators, faculty, staff and students; therefore, potentially helpful contacts are usually:

• Office of Residential Life
• Office of Student Services
• Office of the Dean
• Office of Human Resources
• Interfaith Center
• Ombudsman Office
• Office of Multicultural Programming
• Office of Affirmative Action
• Office of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Student Life
• Office of Health Education
• A Coalition of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Students
• A Coalition of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Faculty and Administrators
